Sister Act

I had the real pleasure of photographing the wedding of Adrian and Louise recently in the fantastic grounds of the National Trust property Blickling Hall in Norfolk.

Norfolk is a little bit out of my normal area but Adrian and Louise are local to me but have family connections in that neck of the woods and it wasn't a difficult choice.

The whole day was a blast and a lot of that was due to the laughter and humour of Louise and her two sisters.

Making people laugh is all part of the job and it's fun too.

The key to my heart

Alison has both.  The key on her right hand and the heart on her left.

I'm a fan of tattoos and I find the people with them rarely fit with any of the stereotypes we might create for them.

Take Alison for instance.  She is a mum, works in finance, is a roller derby girl (Google it) and a model.  There is a lot more to her than the ink in her skin.

What we look like should not define us.

Stressed

I should point out I am referring to the background in this image rather than Emma or Bev.

Like most couples approaching their wedding both are experiencing a reasonable amount of stress.  Lots to do and a rapidly shrinking amount of time to do it in.  Add in the prospect of a pre-wedding photoshoot and who can blame them for being a little stressed?

It is hard to visualise the results of a pre-wedding photoshoot if it is your first time taking part in one and that is where your wedding photographer comes in.  In this case I had been to the location an hour before, found the best spots and already worked out what we would shoot and where.

So when Emma & Bev turned up I wasn't stressed which meant they had less reason to be.

Stress can be a good thing but I think the less of it there is the better.

It is all in the eyes

Take one beautiful woman (krystal), some gorgeous tattoos and a rather striking red dress and you have this portrait I took at a fashion photoshoot.

Yet it isn't the dress or the tattoos or even the great background that stand out - it is Krystal's eyes.  Despite all the other distractions it is the power of her eyes that pulls you into the portrait.

I love working with Krystal who is an amazing model and who makes me a better photographer everytime we shoot together.

I was so distracted by her eyes I chopped her fingers off.  The next lesson for me to learn.

Come fly with me

When you are as small as Annabel flying is possible with the help of your Dad.

This is my second shoot with Annabel and I think this pose has a limited shelf life judging by the shaking of arms after a few minutes.  It would appear little Annabel is quite a bit heavier than she was at the last shoot ;-)

Daddies little girl?  Not for much longer.
