Bridesmaids

Bridesmaids - a tough gig.  Look after the bride, look great on the wedding day but do not overshadow the bride.

Bridesmaids we salute you.

Making up

For any bride on their wedding day it can be the first time they have had professional make up applied.

The make up process seems to fit several purposes.  Obviously making the bride even more glamorous but I also think it is a moment of calm in a frantic part of the day.

The results of a professional wedding make up artist are hard, if not impossible, to repeat yourself so I'd advise you get one - the time (and money) will be worthwhile trust me.

If you can find a make up artist like Clares then not only do you get a great look but you have a lot of fun doing so.

Because you are worth it.....

I made a Bride cry and I'm happy

Read on before you judge me (honest).

Today I had one of the nicest emails from my a Bride & Groom which was very touching and very much appreciated.  I've included an edited version below.

'Yaay what fabulous pictures.  There are some which make me wanna cry with emotion, some breath taking ones, you really did as we asked & captured the moment, they're all just wonderful, I just want to keep looking at them over & over again!!

From a VEERY HAPPY MR & MRS SHERWOOD'

I made a girl cry and I'm proud ;-)

Blowing bubbles

Left to my own devices I am a bit of a kid myself - my wife suggests this might be why I am able to communicate with kids so well and get great results with the camera.

For these two shots of Olivia I am guilty of thinking 'now what would I do with a glass of pop and a straw?' and of course the answer is 'blow some bubbles'.

Luckily for me Olivia felt this was an excellent idea and I present to you the before and after moments.

Nice work Olivia.

Oooh mother

A wedding is a big occasion for all concerned and none more so that the mothers of the bride and groom.

Dean's mother looked fantastic in her outfit and I had been waiting for a moment to be able to capture a portrait of her during the day.  Dean and Clare had been nice and clear on the kind of shots they wanted and I bided my time until a good opportunity presented itself.

The background lightning and her choice of outfit really suited a black and white wedding photograph and I hope she is as pleased with the result as I am.

Thanks Deans mum ;-)
