Poster boy

When there is an important event, like a wedding, then you want the best advertising possible to let everyone know about it - you need a Sidney.

A Sidney is a unique form of promotion - full of energy, high profile and able to cut through the normal clutter of our everyday lives.

Luckily that is exactly what Clare and Dean had for their wedding and as their wedding photographer I was most grateful.

Forget social media to promote your wedding - what you need is a Sidney.

Guest post 2

I enjoyed creating the last post (about guests at a wedding) and I thought I would repeat the look from the wedding of Essex couple Louise and Adrian.

Not much to add that wasn't in the previous post so I'll just leave you with the images.

It is a hard life as a wedding guest ;-)

Dancing shoes

As a wedding photographer I always enjoy photographing the first dance - it is the point at which the bride and groom visually relax and they get ready to party. A night of partying awaits them.

For Emma and Bev it was no different.  By the time we got to the first dance they were both ready to let their hair down and begin the evening.  Given their table settings were all based on the concerts they have been to see you could tell music was going to be important to them.

Shall we?

Joy and pain

Let me get one thing straight - Adrian and Louise's wedding was an absolute joy to be the wedding photographer for but there was a little pain it must be said.

So let me show you the joy - of two people very much in love and who thoroughly enjoyed their wedding day.

Now let me show you the pain - Adrian's wedding ring didn't quite cooperate but with a little brute force Louise claimed him as her husband and all was well.

We all need some balance in our lives.

Sister Act

I had the real pleasure of photographing the wedding of Adrian and Louise recently in the fantastic grounds of the National Trust property Blickling Hall in Norfolk.

Norfolk is a little bit out of my normal area but Adrian and Louise are local to me but have family connections in that neck of the woods and it wasn't a difficult choice.

The whole day was a blast and a lot of that was due to the laughter and humour of Louise and her two sisters.

Making people laugh is all part of the job and it's fun too.
